Before you read this post, I hope that you have already signed up to receive BPOS Partner of Record fees and have read my previous blog about the “Order on behalf of” experience.

If not, please review this first: https://blogs.technet.com/b/uspartner_ts2team/archive/2010/09/13/how-easy-is-it-for-you-to-send-customer-quotes-for-bpos.aspx

When your customers click on the URL that you sent them, this is what they will see:

Your Partner ID is already pre-populated along with the statement that reads: “By continuing, I agree that the information about my company and ongoing subscription will be to [Partner Name], the partner for this transaction.”

Once they click on the Checkout button they have to opportunity to enter in a Purchase Order number for their own records:

The next screen is where they will input their credit card information:

At this point, their cards have not yet been charged.  We still need to make sure they sign the agreement on the next page:

Once the agreement has been accepted the customer is ready to confirm the order:

Once they hit “Confirm Order,” you’re on your way to receiving those Partner of Record Fees!

In my next blog post, we will discuss how you can get an all up view of your customers with the Partner Dashboard.
