Microsoft Partner Economic Stimulus Plan

Connecting with other partners is the greatest opportunity for you to grow your business.  Consider this your local economic stimulus plan – the IAMCP has driven $6.6 BILLION in Partner-to-Partner revenue since its inception.  And by not participating, you are leaving money on the table.

The International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners (IAMCP) helps Microsoft Partners grow their businesses.  The organization includes nearly 4,000 companies in 33 countries, and over 80 chapters worldwide. The IAMCP provides Microsoft Partners a voice into Microsoft programs, to the IT community at large, as well as a vehicle to facilitate business development among partners. 


The mission of the IAMCP is to maximize business opportunities for members through networking and relationship building with local Microsoft offices. It´s also a way to join with other professionals to impact the future of our industry.   As mentioned above – according to an IDC study, IAMCP members generated $6.6 Billion in revenue through Partner to Partner Sales.

OK – so that is the marketing pitch!  Did you know that less than 5% of Microsoft Partners sell the full stack of Microsoft products?  This is where the opportunity lies.  If you are a platform partner – connect with a Dynamics Partner, or a Training Partner, or Hosting Partner. 


I interact with my local IAMCP chapters.  They are reporting increases of 8-26% in revenue tied to IAMCP P2P engagements.  This could be the difference of staying in the black, going in the red or closing your doors! 


With everything else in life – you will get out of it what you put into it.  Don’t go if you don’t want to grow your business.  But it’s a great place to meet complimentary partners. 


Here is a great example.  In the Kansas City market – a Dynamics CRM partner and a platform partner have started working together…sharing leads.  They are cross-selling and up-selling to each other’s bases of prospects and customers.  Alone, they never would have uncovered these opportunities – the sum is greater than the parts.  Yes, in Microsoft math this is 1 + 1 = $$$$.
