WLM2011 – Proxy Configuration

When we specific a proxy on IE, the same information appears in the WLM. File -> Options -> Connection -> Advanced Settings

However for some reason we’ve noticed via a network trace that a specific component wlidsvc, right now, is ignoring this setting.

However I’ve confirmed that this is working fine if we configure in the IE the proxy for automatically detect settings.

Everything worked for me if we use winhttp proxy + proxy configured IE

In win7 and 2008 you can configure winhttp proxy by doing:
