Sahara India Life Insurance
Insurance Company Deploys Integration Solution and
Eliminates Paper Movement and Delays in Ad-hoc Document Requests
The Sahara Pariwar’s latest foray in the field of Life
Insurance is under Sahara India Life Insurance Company Ltd. (Sahara Life). It
has invested in Life Asia, an application for core policy administration.
However, the application was restricted in scenarios where ad-hoc duplicate
documents (premium statement, duplicate receipt and unit statements) are
required by the customer. What Sahara Life needed was a Web based application,
which could service these requests. With help form Microsoft, it created an
application using ASP.NET, which integrates with Life Asia with other
applications using BizTalk® Server 2006. This allows the servicing of ad-hoc
document requests from the Life Asia production server.
Postal Company Gains Flexibility and Expands Services
with a Service-Oriented Architecture
Österreichische Post AG (Austrian Post) is Austria’s leading
provider of postal and logistics services. When the company’s computing
technologies began to hinder its efficiency and growth, Austrian Post decided
to implement a service-oriented architecture (SOA). Built with the Microsoft
Application Platform, the new solution replaces Oracle and MySQL database
software but uses other existing components, new applications, and systems from
external parties. With its SOA, Austrian Post has reduced the time required to
connect to disparate systems from weeks to hours, increased employee
productivity, cut IT and operational costs, and realized a return on investment
(ROI) in three years.
Solution Provider Streamlines B2B Connections Using Cloud
Services
Codit, an independent software company specializing in
business integration solutions, wanted a platform that could help reduce the
cost and complexity of integrating its customers’ applications and data. Codit
turned to the Windows Azure platform to create its Cloud Connector. It not only
achieved its goals for its customers, but also gained an agile development
environment and pay-as-you-go business model for growing its customer base.
