Microsoft Acquires Opalis Software
Microsoft Acquires Opalis Software, a Toronto-based private company that is a leader in IT process automation software. Opalis will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Microsoft. Their products include:
· Prepackaged workflows and automation expertise for the common tasks in managing a datacenter. Examples include Run Book Automation, virtual machine lifecycle management, and incident ticket management.
· An automation platform that lets customers create and execute workflows across datacenter management tools.
· Deep integration capabilities to orchestrate tasks across server infrastructure and systems management products, including those from BMC, CA, IBM, HP, Microsoft, and Symantec.

Configuration Manager Documentation Library Update for December 2009
The Configuration Manager documentation library (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb680651.aspx) has been updated on the Web and the latest content on the Web has Updated: December 1, 2009 at the top of the topic. How to properly set up a Task Sequence to deploy Windows 7 images captured via an SCCM 2007 Capture CD
When a Task Sequence is created via the "Create New Task Sequence Wizard", the Task Sequence may fail if the Windows OS being deployed is Windows 7 and the reference Windows 7 WIM image being deployed was manually created and then captured using the SCCM 2007 Capture CD.
The Task Sequence Error dialog may show one of the following errors…
