Disk2VHD enables on-line export of volumes into VHD format for use in VPC or Hyper-V, allowing customers experiencing issues to provide images of their systems so that CSS can diagnose the problem without costly steps attempting to reproduce the issues in-house. It uses shadow copies to obtain consistent images of volumes while the source system continues to operate and possibly modify the volumes.
