MSDN Webcast: Exchange Server 2010 Development (Part 1 of 6): Migrating Applications to Exchange Web Services (Level 300)

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 8:00 AM Pacific Time (US & Canada)

Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 offers the most powerful platform Microsoft Exchange Server has ever provided to developers, further bolstering the capabilities of the Microsoft Exchange Web Services API. However, at the same release of Exchange 2010, several APIs (like WebDav, Store Events, Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) 3.0, and the Exchange OLE DB Provider) were removed, and others (like MAPI and CDO 1.2.1) were deemphasized and went into Extended Support. In this webcast, Jason Henderson, the lead program manager of the Exchange Web Services team, gives an overview of what to consider when migrating applications that rely on Exchange Server and highlights the resources that are available on the Web to help you.

To get an overview of the Exchange Web Services API and the Exchange Web Services Managed API, watch the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference (PDC) 2008 session introducing the APIs.

Presenters: Jason Henderson, Principal Program Manager Lead, Microsoft Corporation and Albert Kooiman, Senior Product Manager, Microsoft Corporation
