SQL Server 2008 Now Supported on Configuration Manager 2007 R2
System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 now supports the use of SQL Server 2008 with SQL Reporting Service. For accurate monitoring of the SRS configuration the following hotfix is required: KB957576.

Configuration Manager 2007 R2 Now Available
Configuration Manager R2 supports Windows Vista SP1 and Windows Server 2008, integrates support for application virtualization, and provides an update to the Operating system Deployment capability initially shipped in Configuration Manager. In addition, Client Status Reporting, SQL Reporting and Forefront Client reporting are all now available.
Windows Embedded Standard 2009 Now Supported on Configuration Manager 2007 (RTM and SP1)
System Center Configuration Manager 2007 (RTM and SP1) now supports managing Windows Embedded Standard 2009 clients. The previous release of Windows XP Embedded SP2 had a limitation of not supporting OS Deployment. We are happy to announce that with WES, OS Deployment is now supported and the macro for Target Designer ships with WES. No hotfixes are required. Administrative consoles or site-sever roles are not supported.
