Advances in BitLocker Drive Encryption

Last year's security issue of TechNet Magazine took you on a short tour of some of the features of Windows BitLocker Drive Encryption in order to show how it was implemented in the initial release of Windows Vista. (See Keys to Protecting Data with BitLocker Drive Encryption.) Now, with the release of Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista and the new Windows Server 2008 operating system, the time has come to revisit BitLocker. This year’s article  discusses some of the changes in the latest version, gives an overview of how to install and use BitLocker on a server, and touches on some recently reported considerations to bear in mind.
