Windows PowerShell: Automating Directory Management

While Windows PowerShell is a powerful tool, it does have a notable shortcoming that is largely due to timing.  In the May installment of the Windows PowerShell column, Don Jones explains why the first version of Windows PowerShell offers less than superior Active Directory management capabilities. Don also shows you how Windows PowerShell supports Active Directory Services Interface (ADSI), and he demonstrates how you can use add-ins to get even more powerful ways to work with Active Directory objects from within the shell.

By the way, did you know that the Windows PowerShell 2.0 CTP is now available? Check it out and see what's new in the latest version.

Cheers,
