The May 2008 issue of TechNet Magazine is now available online. In the May issue, we delve into Active Directory management, showing you how to protect some of your most important assets. Gil Kirkpatrick discusses Active Directory Backup and Restore in Windows Server 2008, detailing how to use the various new backup and restore tools and options.

In the article Designing OU Structures that Work, Ken St. Cyr explores OU models.  He explains the importance of having a well-designed OU and outlines some of the common approaches to help you plan the best OU for your organization. And then Vikas Malhotra walks you through how to extend the Active Directory schema.

The issue also has a couple System Center-related features, with an overview of the new System Center Mobile Device Manager and a look at what's new in System Center Essentials SP1.
