November 2007 issue of TechNet Magazine now online

The November 2007 issue of TechNet Magazine is now available online at www.technetmagazine.com/issues/2007/11/.

Without our users, there wouldn't be much point in all this IT hassle. (Or is that: without users, there wouldn't be so much IT hassle? Er, maybe not....)

This month we are taking a look at a variety of technologies and solutions that help users be more productive, while simplifying the task of deploying and managing those solutions. Happy users make for a happy IT staff - or at least fewer headaches.

We start off with a look at Changes to Offline Files in Windows Vista. How do you let users work with files stored on the network when they have unreliable connectivity (or no connectivity at all)? Jeremy Moskowitz explains how improvements in Windows Vista provide a better approach to working with offline files.

Need to update your users' desktops, but don't have SMS 2003? Don't worry.  Adam Shepherd provides an in-depth guide to Simple, Scalable Deployment with BDD 2007 and SQL Server that requires little or no manual input.

Plus, we've got the second installment of Kay Unkroth's series on Exchange Edge Transport Servers at Microsoft.

We also have articles explaining how to Configure VPN Remote Access with ISA Server 2006 for improved connectivity and increased productivity, and Optimizing SQL Server Query Performance.

In addition, you'll find all of our regular columns including Security Watch with Jon Morello, Windows PowerShell with Don Jones, Hey, Scripting Guy!, The Cable Guy, The Desktop Files with Wes Miller, Windows Confidential with Raymond Chen, Exchange Queue & A, Besty Aoki writing in Field Notes about "The Cod of Conduct," and more - all available at www.technetmagazine.com.

We continue to offer TechNet Magazine online in 11 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

As always, we welcome your comments and feedback.  Contact the editors anytime by e-mailing tnmag@microsoft.com.
