The Desktop Files: Remote Desktop Protocol

In the August issue of TechNet Magazine, Wes Miller takes a look at Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) and demonstrates how this useful piece of technology enables you to access a home PC or office server remotely, and even to control a Media Center Extender.

Just in case you missed it, back in the July issue Wes gave an overview of the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP), which available as a value-add to customers who have Software Assurance (SA) licenses. MDOP includes technologies from Softricity, DesktopStandard, AssetMetrix, and Winternals Software.
