Base Configuration Test Lab Guide updated

Hey there TLG fans,

I just updated the TechNet Library and Microsoft Download Center versions of the Test Lab Guide: Base Configuration for the following:

  • Added links to the evaluation versions of Windows 7 Professional and Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, based on Microsoft MVP feedback and other customer feedback obtained by fellow TLG author Kurt Hudson (Thanks, Kurt!)
  • Changed the operating system requirements to allow both Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate as the operating system for CLIENT1
  • Some minor tweaks pointed out by my fellow TLG author John Downing (Thanks, John!)

Note that published modular TLGs may not be updated to allow both Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate as the operating system for CLIENT1. They will be updated in their next refresh. In the mean time, CLIENT1 can run either Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate.

Also note that if you are using the evaluation version of Windows 7 Professional for a Hyper-V virtual machine, you will need to download the 64-bit (x64) version.
