Tip of the Day: Non RFC 1918 space is now allowed in a Virtual Network

Today’s (Cloud) Tip…

We are announcing today that non RFC 1918 space such as public IP address blocks can be added to the Virtual Network. Until now, users were only allowed to bring RFC 1918 address blocks (private space) as their Virtual Network address space in Azure, but this restriction is now removed. All IP blocks in the Virtual Network will only be routable within the customer’s network and won’t be reachable from outside.
