Tip of the Day: Putting OneDrive on Windows Server 2012 R2

Today’s Tip…

Recently I’ve needed to connect a Windows Server 2012 R2 system to my Microsoft OneDrive (not the OneDrive Pro).  I went around in circles for a little while and then I just installed it from the Windows Essentials download.

Couldn't you just install OneDrive directly instead of having to install the entire Windows Essentials suite of software. Here's a link.

To install OneDrive on Window Server 2012 R2:

Disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration from the
    - Server Manager,
    - Local Server page,
    - look for IE enhanced security config, I disabled for both admin and users. (if you need to use OneDrive only for the admin, then do it only for the admins)
    - if you have it enabled. This will allow you to sign in.- Install the .NET Framework 3.5 feature
    - Download and Install just OneDrive from the https://onedrive.live.com/

then, You will then need to sign into the app, you might need to sign in a few times... 🙂
