Recently I’ve needed to connect a Windows Server 2012 R2 system to my Microsoft OneDrive (not the OneDrive Pro). I went around in circles for a little while and then I just installed it from the Windows Essentials download.

To install OneDrive on Window Server 2012 R2:
Disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration from the
– Server Manager,
– Local Server page,
– look for IE enhanced security config, I disabled for both admin and users. (if you need to use OneDrive only for the admin, then do it only for the admins)
– if you have it enabled. This will allow you to sign in.- Install the .NET Framework 3.5 feature
– Download and Install just OneDrive from the https://onedrive.live.com/
then, You will then need to sign into the app, you might need to sign in a few times… 🙂

Couldn’t you just install OneDrive directly instead of having to install the entire Windows Essentials suite of software. Here’s a link.
