Tip of the Day: Safe Mode

Today’s Tip…

We often want to boot into Safe mode to see if the issue is possibly due to a third party applications. On Windows 8.1, we have the option of “Advanced Startup” that would help us to go into Safe mode on the next reboot in an easy convenient manner.

To get to this option, go to the Immersive Control Panel:

Press Windows + I, and select “Change PC Settings”

Chose “Update & Recovery”, and then go to “Recovery”

You would get an option to do an Advanced Startup:

Once you reboot the machine, Click/tap:

You would be then presented with the Advanced Boot options that you can chose from and the system would restart into the option that was selected.
