Although most people tend to think of our public cloud offering, Azure, whenever someone mentions Cloud, we are very active in the private and hybrid cloud space, too.
Private clouds are typically hosted inside your own or leased datacenters and are comprised of Hyper-V virtual machines. Although some people build their own management tooling, many of our customers leverage our System Center family of products for their private cloud.
Hybrid clouds generally leverage the same technology and solutions as private clouds, but they span both local datacenters and hosted solutions. Again, some customer roll their own solutions, but many of our customer leverage System Center.
Although Hyper-V has made significant gains in recent years, there are still a large number of VMWare deployments out there. Check out the Channel 9 article below to hear about some of the tools and techniques we have for migrating workloads from VMWare to Hyper-V and from public to hybrid.
