I highly encourage you to check out the article by Troy Hunt about the work he did in Azure to help build his site for analyzing 154 MM breached accounts on the fly. To quote the author “…22,500 records inserted per second then 154 million records queried to return a result in only 4 milliseconds…”. He actually had to add a *delay* into his UI to make the end user experience better!!
