Tip of the Day: Playing Well with Others

Today’s Tip…

One of the things I noticed about Windows Server 2012 was that while we came up with some great new ideas, many of them didn’t work together.? A big part of the changes in Windows Server 2012 R2 were to improve this and make these nifty new toys play well with one another.

Part of this was seen as the improved Cluster Shared Volumes were changed to include support for the following features:

  • Resilient File System (ReFS)
  • NTFS Deduplication
  • Parity storage spaces
  • Tiered storage spaces (New in R2)
