Tip of the Day: WS2012R2 with virtualized NMI

Today’s Tip…

Windows Server 2012 R2 has a neat little treat for in store for engineers. Hyper-V now has the ability to issue a virtualized Non Maskable Interrupt (NMI) to a virtual machine.

This is done by using the new Windows PowerShell cmdlet, Debug-VM, from the Hyper-V host.

Run it and BLAMMO! The VM will bug check!

Neat, huh?!
