Tip of the Day: Replicating Scopes in DHCP Failover

Today’s tip…

In Windows Server 2012/2012 R2, DHCP Failover automatically synchronizes leases.  However, configuration changes on one server in the failover relationship do not automatically get replicated to the partner.  Configuration changes can be manually replicated by choosing the “Replicate Scope…” or “Replicate Relationship…” option in DHCP Server Manager.  The configuration from the server where replication is initiated will overwrite the configuration on the remote computer for the selected scope or failover relationship.
