Windows Server 2012 has three resiliency types for Storage Spaces.

  • Simple
  • Mirror
  • Parity

 

The term 'simple' might cause some confusion as people are likely to relate it to a 'simple' volume on a dynamic disk.  In Storage Spaces, a simple space is actually more similar to a stripe set without parity.
