Jonathan MacCollum is a senior technology consultant and lead architect for J.S. Walker & Company a technology consulting company in North Carolina. He is responsible for system and solution architecture and specializes in data processing design, application performance and scalability in both transactional as well as business intelligence systems. Jonathan is passionate about Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL Server based technologies and how they can be designed and combined to create elegant and powerful solutions to real world business problems.

Jonathan began working with technology in depth while at college where he achieved a BS in computer science and mathematics. He has successfully developed and designed many business applications with Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL Server. 

 His industry experience includes:

• Provided enterprise application architecture and development of .NET intranet and internet based web applications, near real time data processing, and scheduled jobs to deliver value to new and existing business processes.

• Designed and implemented SQL Server Business Intelligence Data Warehouse with Analysis Services for clients in the manufacturing and retail industries including migration of legacy BI solutions to the Microsoft BI stack.

• Analyzed and performed code reviews of .NET solutions and client applications to make code design and architecture recommendations for high performance and high scalability.

• Optimized SQL Server OLTP workload for web applications and an IVR based call system
