A new SQL Server 2008 MCM to announce…

I’m very glad to announce a new SQL Server 2008 Microsoft Certified Master:

Assaf Fraenkel, Database Architect and Principal Consultant, Microsoft. Assaf is a database architect working in Microsoft Consulting Services since 2000. He consults in Israel and abroad (mainly in Europe) with a focus on databases and project management. Assaf lectures on a regular basis in the Israel Tech Ed and at other conferences as well. Before joining Microsoft, Assaf served in senior positions in Cellular Company and in S/W house where he was responsible for development of complex Banking and Telco industry applications. During his work at Microsoft, Assaf has become an expert in the healthcare and the defense industries as well. Assaf received M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees (both Cum Laude) in Computer Science from the Hebrew University and had studied for the Ph.D. degree in Business Management at the Tel Aviv University.

Assaf actually attended the very first SQL MCM program back in 2006 (when it used to be called the “SQL Ranger” program). At that time Assaf achieved both MCM and MCA status for SQL Server 2005.

Congratulations to Assaf on attaining yet another advanced certification!
