Learning from Cloud: Expanding hybrid options for business continuity

Hybrid capabilities are changing the game in many areas of IT.  Business continuity is a great example, since the use of cloud resources can offer cost savings or increased flexibility. As part of our ongoing efforts to expand hybrid options for business continuity, in June we announced the preview of a new feature for Azure Site Recovery that enables disaster recovery protection for your on-premises virtual machines by replicating them to Microsoft Azure.  Enabling disaster recovery to Microsoft Azure was an important step.  But we’re working to extend the functionality even further. Last Friday, we announced the acquisition of InMage, an innovator in the emerging area of cloud-based business continuity.  This acquisition will accelerate our strategy to provide hybrid cloud business continuity solutions for any customer IT environment, be it Windows or Linux, physical or virtualized on Hyper-V, VMware or others.
