What's New in 2012 R2: Going Deep on the Microsoft IaaS Service Provider and Tenant Admin Experience

Yesterday Microsoft VP Brad Anderson and Erin Chapple detailed some key Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) scenarios for a High Performance Storage Fabric, Scalable Storage on Commodity Hardware, and End-to-end Storage Management in the post, “What’s New in 2012 R2: IaaS Innovations.”  It’s an excellent read and sets the stage nicely for today’s post.

Today we do another deep dive, but the context will be different.  Brad and Erin are going to take you deep from the eyes of a Service Provider, and from the eyes of a tenant administrator.

We focus on delivering the best infrastructure possible in order to provide delightful experiences to our customers. The two work hand-in-hand:  The right infrastructure enables key customer-facing scenarios, and the focus on the experience ensures that customers can get the most out of their infrastructure investments.

So without further delay, read up on the experience in the post, “What’s New in 2012 R2: Service Provider & Tenant IaaS Experience.”  Like yesterday, this is a lengthy blog post but we think you’ll find a lot of valuable information on the investments we have made, and where we are headed.
