Windows 7 now in Bangla!

Windows 7 in Bangla – the official language of Bangladesh – is now available for download.

In addition to Windows 7, a localized version of Windows Vista is also available.

Bangla is sometimes referred to as Bengali, but is usually referred to as Bangla in Bangladesh. Note that we are still using “Bengali (Bangladesh)” on the Microsoft Language Portal, but will update this to “Bangla” in February when we post the Bangla terminology and the user interface translations on the portal.

Want to know more about Bangla? Check this Wikipedia article.

Please note that the Bangla Windows 7 Language Interface Pack can only be installed on a system that runs an English client version of Windows 7. It is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. The Bangla Windows 7 LIP is produced as part of the Local Language Program.
