Redknee / Microsoft Alliance Enables Monetization of New Telco Services

Today, we’re excited to announce our alliance with billing and charging software and solutions provider Redknee. Redknee’s Turnkey Converged Billing solution will now leverage the technology and rich features of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SQL Server 2008 R2, BizTalk Server 2009, and Windows Server 2008 platforms, which together create a compelling billing and customer care solution for telcos.

 

The Redknee offering will bring about a transformation in the billing OSS/BSS space by providing to the telecoms market an end-to-end platform that now includes the addition of extensive customer management and sales and marketing tools. Other benefits to telcos include faster time-to-market for new services, improved business decision making through advanced reporting/analytics, and lower total cost of ownership.

 

As services converge and churn causes revenues to erode, telcos are being forced to transform their operations and business models to deliver new services to market faster and at a lower cost. On the heels of last week’s announcement with CRM and billing provider Convergys, our alliance with Redknee is another demonstration of Microsoft’s approach to partnering with industry leaders in software and systems integration to offer new ways for telcos to compete in an ever-changing environment.
