Sierra Wireless 598U with Sprint not working

The installer for Sierra wireless U598 device fails to install the drivers. During installation the OEM INF files are getting created and later deleted due to a known issue.

The Sprint support page for 598U has a newer version of SSV to download which should work on Win7.
