My HP Embedded Mobile Broadband device is not working on Windows 7...unable to install the drivers for the device..

Or Manually need to install the drivers for my HP Embedded Mobile Broadband device.

This applies to both HP hs2300 Broadband Wireless Module or HP ev2210 1xEV-DO Rel. A Wireless Broadband Module.

  1. Go to HP site and download the package - https://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-65526-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=sg&product=3641274&os=2093&lang=en.
  2. Run the executable and extract it to a local folder.
  3. From the same local folder, run setup.exe
  4. Follow on-screen direction to complete the setup.
  5. After completing the setup, go to C:\Program Files\HPQ\Shared\Sierra Wireless\Driver Installer.

For x86 platform:-

  • Right-Click DriverInstaller.exe and click Properties.
  • Go to Compatibility tab and check the "Run the program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows Vista" from the combo.
  • Select OK
  • Run the DriverInstaller.exe and it will install the drivers.

For 64-Bit platform:-

  • Right-Click DriverInstaller64.exe and click Properties.
  • Go to Compatibility tab and check the "Run the program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows Vista" from the combo.
  • Select OK
  • Run the DriverInstaller64.exe and it will install the drivers.
