Goodbye Scott Stuart, I Really Bought Your Vision

On a personal note, I'm really sad to see Scott Stuart leave the company.  I only know Scott because of a few presentations he's done as Microsoft's CIO.  Being responsible for how technology is implemented in a global 80,000 employee organization is no easy task.

Although the reasons behind his termination abrupt departure remain vague, I wish him well on his future endeavors.

In a Q&A on Microsoft Presspass in December 2005, Scott illustrated his role in two parts: “to help the company think through and define its strategic priorities, then deliver the business-process capabilities and solutions to achieve them….[and] lead the Microsoft IT organizations in designing, building and running the IT systems that we use to run the company.”
