A little while ago we announced v4 of the EPM VPC – a downloadable, populated demo environment that partners can use to demonstrate the Microsoft Project and Portfolio Management solution to customers. This can be downloaded from the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN).
As well as the standard EPM solution VPC, there are various others also available to Microsoft partners:
Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
ALM demonstrates the power of building on SharePoint Server 2007, the EPM Solution and Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2008 to better connect the worlds of Project & Portfolio Management and Application Development.
Connecting the Worlds of PPM and Application Development empowers project managers and development teams to follow their own methodologies, select the optimal productivity tools and yet remain seamlessly connected throughout the development lifecycle. Microsoft’s SharePoint Server 2007, Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Solution and Visual Studio Team Foundation Sever 2008 are already used by organizations to support Collaboration, PPM and ALM processes. Integrating these products allows the development team to work in a familiar environment, maximizing productivity and focusing on quality, whilst ensuring all required data is available to the project manager and stakeholders to facilitate enterprise resource management and reporting.
The ALM VPC can be downloaded from the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN).
Innovation Process Management
The Microsoft Innovation Process Management (IPM) Solution is built on the Microsoft Office SharePoint® Server 2007, and the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Solution, enabling organizations to facilitate the stages of innovation process management.
- Strategise and capture ideas
- formulate and objectively evaluate initiatives
- Define and select projects
The IPM VPC can be downloaded from the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN).
In addition to ALM and IPM, there are other VPCs available to download, including Project Server and Dynamics AX and Capital Planning and Investment Control.
Lots more information about all of these solutions is available on the Project website.
