Updates for Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4 (10 September 2018)


On September 10th we released updates for Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4 devices running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, version 1709, or greater to Windows Update.  These updates are now available in MSI format on the Microsoft Download Center from the following links:

These updates add the Battery Limit feature that limits the level of charge for devices that remain connected to an external power supply for an extended duration. For more information see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/battery-limit.  The Battery Limit feature is available now for Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4 and will extended to other devices in the Surface lineup in upcoming updates. Additionally, these updates for Surface Pro 4 include improvements to system security.

  • Surface UEFI v3.11.2550.0 adds the Battery Limit feature.
  • Surface Embedded Controller Firmware v38.14.80.0 adds the Battery Limit feature.

  • Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter v15.68.9125.57 improves system security.
  • Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller v15.68.9125.57 improves system security.
  • Surface UEFI v108.2318.769.0 adds the Battery Limit feature.
  • Surface Embedded Controller Firmware v103.2241.256.0 adds the Battery Limit feature.
  • Surface Integration v1.0.176.0 adds the Battery Limit feature.
