Keyboard only turns on when the battery drains. I posted this solution in the Microsoft forum and another user did the same procedure and his keyboard also called. In other words, the keyboard of Surface Pro 3 only turns on and works when it drains the entire battery. Microsoft, you have no contact with your forum?

Users outside the United States are having this problem is in Brazil, Belgium and Japan.

    1 – Battery is over.
2 – Press button on appears a white ball low battery.
3 – Leave the surface for some time without turning on. Leave about 2 hours unplugged.
4 – When the low battery white ball does not appear put in the energy.
    5 – Power on Surface.
    6 – Working Keyboard.
    7 – Turning Surface Off
8 – Keyboard not working anymore

KEYBOARD ONLY TURN ON BATTERY DRAIN !! After July Update

These driver downloads are an absolute shambles. The naming convention is terrible, I understand the OS Build version but the other version number makes no sense. There is no Surface Pro Platform Installer MSI for the August or October updates

Am I the only one whose Surface Pro 3 can’t find its driver after the update? This is KILLING my soul slowly. I’ve fixed it once, then it stopped working again while I was on the internet.

    Hi Guys,
after the Fall Creators Update there is a problem with the Surface Book (including mine) that relates to the inability of using pen and multi-touch after the pc Hibernates. After reboot everything is ok, until the next hibernation. There are several threads around this, like this one https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/79aqho/touch_and_pen_not_working_properly_after_creators/ and also entries in the feedback center like this one: https://aka.ms/Qdfrea

Unfortunately updating the SurfaceBook_Win10_16299_1705000_1.msi did not solve the problem. Hope this gets under attention soon, as it really zeroes the ability to use the hardware properly.

    Thanks!

It is not possible to deliver Windows 10 1709 Enterprise via SCCM current branch OSD to Surface Pro (Model 1796) with SurfacePro_Win10_16299_1710007_0.msi drivers. Two macro problems:
    1. In Windows “live” part of task sequence after windows completes to install drivers, if you touch the screen, Windows goes immediatly to blue screen of death with apc_index_mismatch error.
    2. If you don’t touch the screen to avoid the problem, Windows 10 goes however to bsod randomly (both during task sequence and in normal windows usage) with page fault in nonpaged area

Using Windows 10 1703 (same TS, same drivers and so on) it works as expected.
