HP rocks TechEd with their new Windows Storage Server product line!

HP has done it again! They just started shipping a new breed of Windows Storage Servers and they demonstrated them on the show floor at TechEd Berlin on November 8th -12th. They have a sweet portfolio of Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 products now available; from the small-business X1000 G2 to the enterprise-grade and highly available X3000 G2 series. These beautiful pieces of machinery can serve up storage for thousands of users using all your favorite protocols like SMB2.1, iSCSI, NFS, HTTP, FTP, WebDAV and many more. Plus it comes with a bunch of hardware, software and data management capabilities that no previous storage offerings have put together in one package. I hear lots of people getting excited about using BranchCache and File Classification Infrastructure to save time and money.

Here are new videos of the X1000 G2 and X3000 G2 running in the HP Labs done by Calvin Zito and Jim Hankins: https://h30507.www3.hp.com/t5/Around-the-Storage-Block-Blog/Part-1-Updates-to-the-X1000-and-X3000-Network-Storage-families/ba-p/83177
