The Windows Server team blog has announced that Windows Server 2008 has been released to manufacture :-)

You can download an evaluation copy of Windows Server 2008 and give it a whirl yourself.

The countdown has begun for the release of Hyper-v - the native virtualisation feature of Windows Server 2008 - it's due to be released in the next 180 days :-)
