There is an interesting MSDN developer security event coming up in London

The MSDN team are presenting an evening of Application Security in London on the 21st September.

They describe the event as follows:

Visual Studio 2005, Visual Studio Team System and SQL Server 2005 have a host of features that help you to create secure applications. In this session we will cover the new security features that are available in Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio Team System (both managed and unmanaged code), along with guidance to enable you to secure your data access and a review of the new security features available in SQL Server 2005. Enhancements covered include SQL Server authentication along with enforced password policy for standard logins, separation of users and schema, data encryption, granular permissions management and impersonation.

This is an essential session for developers to learn how to use the security features of these products to help prevent many common security vulnerabilities.
