I'm finding word of mouth networks / social networks incredibly interesting - the Geek Dinner being a classic case in point. Robert spoke about his experience as a blogger and the impact that such networks have had on him and the world at large. It was amazing that two hundred people met up for lively conversation that was hosted by a guy most of the audience had never actually met before - nor had they met many other people in the room before either.
Kosso's post explains it far better than I and includes a link to the audio from Robert's speech. It's funny(to me) that many peole cite speaking to the chap(Mark) from Jim Henson's creature shop - who'd have expected to meet such an interesting group of people.
