  1. When I install a SharePoint CU (currently running SP2016), some servers don’t ask me to reboot while others do. Are we required to reboot them all regardless the message? Also when I install both language independent and dependent patches, can I install both and reboot only once, or do I have to reboot after each installation (so twice in total)?

    1. Reboot is only required if files the installer tries to replace are in use.
Only those servers where the message shows up are required to be rebooted.
And a single reboot after installing all fixes would be sufficient.
      Cheers,
