Microsoft Cloud in the UK now open for business

As we open the Microsoft Cloud in the UK for business today, we’re excited to be the first global cloud provider to offer a complete cloud from datacenters in the UK. Microsoft Azure and Office 365 are now generally available from the new UK datacenter locations, and Dynamics CRM Online will join the lineup in the first half of 2017.

The Microsoft Cloud in the UK provides world-class reliability and performance combined with data residency to support our customers’ digital transformation. Azure customers worldwide can now deploy resources to the new Azure regions UK South (London, England) and UK West (Cardiff, Wales).

Azure AD Premium P2 SKU (Includes Identity Protection and PIM) | GA

Azure Active Directory Premium P2 will be generally available on September 15th

Azure Active Directory Premium P2 is an Identity and Access Management cloud service with advanced protection for all your users and administrators. This new offering includes all the capabilities in the existing Azure AD Premium P1 as well as the new Identity Protection and Privileged Identity Management. Azure Active Directory Identity Protection  leverages billions of signals to provide risk-based conditional access to your applications and critical company data. We also help you manage and protect privileged accounts with Azure Active Directory Privileged Identity Management so you can discover, restrict and monitor administrators and their access to resources and provide just-in-time access when needed.

Advanced Threat Analytics v 1.7 | GA

We are proud to announce that the next version of Advanced Threat Analytics (ATA), Microsoft’s User and Entity Behavioral Analytics (UEBA) solution is now available! We are excited to see the interest from our customers and partners for ATA. Currently it helps our customers protect over 10 million users, as well as 21 million devices worldwide.

With new attack detections and behavioral analytics enhancements in every release, our engineering team is continuously working to innovate and to help you detect attackers before they cause any damage. In version 1.7, we added new attack detections (reconnaissance using directory services enumeration), and enhancements to the current diagnostic engine (i.e. Pass-the-Hash and Pass-the-Ticket).

In this version, we are also providing role-based access control, so our customers can give different levels of permissions for management console access. There are also updates to our infrastructure (support for Windows Server core and Windows Server 2016) as well as improvements to the user experience.
