App Enables Users to ‘Explore the World Through Sound’ Via Windows Azure

Plenty of apps exist that allow users to share pictures, but what about sound? Foundbite, a Windows Azure customer, empowers users to capture ambient sound happening at the time of a picture or series of pictures, which form a foundbite. Once taken, a foundbite is uploaded to a map, giving users the opportunity to see and hear what’s happening around the world, like the excitement before a football game in Philadelphia or the lashing rain of a monsoon in India. Foundbites can also be posted to a website, Twitter or Facebook, and the app is available on the Windows Phone Store.
