NEW Pre-Release of System Center Operations Manager 2012: Helping Customers Manage and Monitor Applications Across Public and Private Cloud Environments

Today, we made available the Release Candidate (RC) of System Center Operations Manager 2012, an essential part of Microsoft’s private cloud solution. Operations Manager provides IT professionals with a single, comprehensive monitoring view across their datacenter, including both private and public cloud applications, as well as the underlying physical infrastructure.  As a result, they can proactively address issues and ensure critical business services are continually up and running.

Operations Manager 2012 gives administrators the monitoring and diagnostics tools they need from a single vantage point, whether applications are located in physical, virtual or cloud environments.   This includes performance monitoring of heterogeneous datacenters with Linux and Unix operating systems and Java applications.  To help customers ensure applications are running smoothly, Operations Manager 2012 monitors everything from the end-user’s application experience to network devices, so IT can quickly diagnose and resolve problems.

System Center 2012 is slated for release in the first half of 2012.  To learn more about how Operations Manager 2012 plays into the Microsoft private cloud, read this post on the Server and Cloud Platform blog
