Save the date! - "Live and Virtualized" LiveMeeting Series

Today Microsoft announced a new monthly "Live and Virtualized" LiveMeeting series that will kick off on December. 9th, 8:00 a.m. PST.  The first LiveMeeting topic is titled "Virtualization and Cloud Computing" presented by Mike Neil, general manager of virtualization strategy, Microsoft; Deepak Patil, general manager of communications and storage, Microsoft Global Foundation Services and Dominic Foster, Chief Technology Officer for MaximumASP.

Abstract: Virtualization is a key enabling technology for cloud computing. Virtualization is about abstraction of computing resources, and cloud computing services use abstraction to service delivery efficient and secure. Gartner recently stated that virtualization and cloud computing are two of the most important technology trends for 2009. During this initial "Live and Virtualized" session, you'll hear how Microsoft's virtualization strategy impacts customers' on-premises and cloud computing IT strategies. And you'll hear how Microsoft and web hoster MaximumASP use virtualization within its datacenters to power their respective services for consumers and businesses.
