Cloud OS…for databases

Want to see how your organization can deploy databases, virtual machines with SQL Server instances in the same manner as the Windows Azure management portal. Below is a link to a session me and my colleague James Crawshaw presented at Teched Australia 2013.

This session covers how SQL Server, Windows Server, and Microsoft System Centre work together to enable customers to run demanding SQL server workloads, consolidate sprawl, and reduce costs. We review key data platform scenarios, benefits, and latest best practices of running a Windows Server based private cloud.

Further to this we have also made available a SQL Server self-service kit to automate provisioning of SQL Server - https://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlcat/archive/2013/09/06/sql-server-self-service-kit-provisioning-sql-server-as-a-service.aspx
