New Test Lab Guide shows the integration of Dynamics 365 within an Exchange Online mailbox

A key value of Microsoft’s cloud offerings (Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Dynamics 365) is integration. A great example is Office 365 and Dynamics 365, in which Exchange Online and SharePoint Online in Office 365 can access and expose the data stored in Dynamics 365.

To see the integration between Exchange Online and Dynamics 365 for yourself, step through the new Exchange Online integration for your Office 365 and Dynamics 365 dev/test environment Test Lab Guide.

This new guide shows how enabling email integration within Dynamics 365 and then installing the Microsoft Dynamics 365 App for Outlook allows you to view information on contacts stored in Dynamics 365 when you are composing an email message. Here is an example:

Here is the current Office 365 and Dynamics 365 Test Lab Guide stack:

You start at the bottom with an Office 365 E5 trial subscription, add a Dynamics 365 trial subscription, and then configure and demonstrate Dynamics 365 integration for the global administrator’s mailbox.

Stay tuned. A Test Lab Guide showing integration between SharePoint Online and Dynamics 365 is in the works.
