This has already come and gone but you can view it any time online or listen to it as a Podcast. If you’re interested in Asset Intelligence but don’t know much about the details, this is a good place to start:
Product(s): System Center.
Audience(s): IT Professionals.
Duration: 60 Minutes
Start Date: Monday, November 12, 2007 9:00 PM Pacific Time (US & Canada)
In this session, we focus on Asset Intelligence covering past, present, and future releases. We cover lessons learned, best practices, and ‘dos’ and ‘don’ts’ for Asset Intelligence 1.0 Service Pack 3 (SP3). We demonstrate and discuss the usage and limitations of the latest set of Client Access License (CAL) reports introduced in Asset Intelligence 1.1 (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007). We then dedicate the rest of the session to Asset Intelligence 1.5 (post Configuration Manager 2007 release to manufacturing) and its comprehensive, categorized, and up-to-date inventory of software. We also address the ability to compare that information with purchased licenses; we demonstrate utilizing on-demand synchronization with System Center Online "master" asset catalog and additional technologies.
