WSUS 3.0 Service Pack 1 Release Candidate Now Available

Just a quick heads up that the WSUS 3.0 Service Pack 1 Release Candidate is now available for download from https://connect.microsoft.com.  Just be sure to sign in and then select 'Available Connections' to see it.  It's labeled "Windows Server Update Services 3.0 SP1 Release Candidate Site" in case you have trouble finding it.  Here are some of the notes from the overview:

WSUS 3.0 SP1 addresses a number of product fixes and includes the addition of support for forth coming Windows Server 2008 (code named Longhorn Server).  The release notes on this release can be downloaded along with the build which provides more details on the installation.

Reporting Bugs: You can file bugs into our product group database from the feedback link and members of the product team will triage and agree on next steps.

Public Beta Newsgroups: We have 2 new public WSUS 3.0 SP1 Release Candidate newsgroups set up. The general group is your posts. Program announcements on this beta program are made in the announcements group.

These newsgroups are supported by an NNTP newsreader (e.g. Outlook express), and require a Connect ID and a personal password to access: Click Newsgroups on the left navigation bar to get the guidelines, newsgroup ID and info to setup your Connect newsgroup password. There are also instructions on how to setup and subscribe to the newsgroup using Outlook Express newsreader.
