This was actually launched back in September but if you're looking for information about Asset Intelligence or have a few questions you'd like to ask this is the place to go.

We'd like to welcome you to the Asset Intelligence forum. Here we'll cover the different features we made available in the different releases of Asset Intelligence (AI), share best practices, answer any questions you may have and solicit your feedback for future releases.

To-date, we have had two releases of Asset Intelligence:

  • AI 1.0 (SMS 2003 SP3):

    • Extended the SMS inventory agent to collect additional artifact data.

    • Provided new SMS reports that simplify asset & license reporting.

    • Shipped the initial knowledge base catalog which allows for the identification and categorization of software titles.

  • AI 1.1 (SCCM 2007 RTM)

    • Provided additional AI functionality (e.g. CAL tracking).

    • Provided new reports on CAL utilization (user & device) for Windows Server (2000+) and Exchange (2003+).

    • Provided enhanced asset management capabilities which include hardware change reports and application usage reporting.

    • Updated the knowledge base catalog.
