Blog: Word 2013 has new features for mobile users

Word 2013 has a range of new features designed to help mobile workers make the most of the processing package.

With so many employees now using their mobile devices for work purposes, the availability of Word 2013 as part of Office 365 is a major bonus.

Tablet users can access the word processing package while on the move, taking advantage of a host of new features in the process.

Using Word 2013, they can add online videos, open PDF files and edit the content, and align pictures and diagrams with minimal fuss.

The new Read Mode is clean and distraction-free - meaning it works well for tablet users - while teaming up is also improved.

Word users can zoom in by double-tapping with their fingers, or use a connected mouse to make changes to their documents.

They can also reopen documents and keep reading where they left off, which is particularly useful when working with large chunks of text.

This function even works when opening a document on a different computer or device - particularly useful for employees popping in and out of the office.
